Full Chilean, True Black Patagonia's Rothera is sired by Shackleton; a Top Patagonia True Black Herdsire. Rothera so far has 100% True Black or Grey progeny. Shackleton has over 70% of his registered offspring as black or grey and has only 1 white. Shackleton has even made True Black out of a white dam! Rothera is a half sister to the great Patagonia's Neruda, also from Shackleton. She is half sister to Moose Creek's Prairie Flower with the same imported Chilean Medium Silver Grey dam Alegria 360. Rothera is the mother of Lakada Farm's JLFA Frango's Rosebud; a beautiful tuxedo blue grey female sired by JLFA Casanova's Peruvian Frango. She is bred for a December 2013 cria from JLFA Michelangelo's Accoyo Adagio.
